You can't say, "You are going also fast". It isn't interchangeable with too, just a partial synonym.

But it can additionally be used to note an abundance or an overabundance

In fact, this entire post, too, is itself, an example of too much rhetorical hyperbole; there is too much use of the word too to illustrate an all too easy point to understand.
